Opencast mining equipment

“NKMZ” started manufacturing ore-and-mining equipment from 1934. It was then that the first coal-pulverizing mills for the thermal power stations, mine winders and tunnel shield for Moscow Metro were made.

“NKMZ” has already supplied 18 bucket wheel excavator complexes, over 2000 power shovels, more than 3000 mills and crushers of various types and versions and over 2000 mine winders to the customers in many countries.

Today, a half of the stripping and opencast mining works in the CIS is being carried out using the earth-moving machinery made at “NKMZ”. Machines manufactured by “NKMZ” constitute 80% of the fleet of walking draglines in Russia.

Depending on specific conditions, we are capable to engineer the most efficient work schedules and supply the whole set of equipment for performing stripping, mining, conveying, processing and dressing various mineral resources based on the advanced technologies.

Based upon the market demands, “NKMZ” is constantly engaged in modernization and sophisticated extension of the range of mining machinery being produced.

As for the opencast mining technologies, “NKMZ” is in a position to offer equipment used both for replacing particular kinds of machines and for updating the existing mining procedures as well as engineering the new ones.

As for the preparatory works associated with drilling blast holes, “NKMZ” may offer roller-bit drilling rigs.

To provide stripping and mining operations we may propose bucket-wheel excavators of 800 to 7000 m3/hr in capacity, walking draglines with the bucket capacity between 6 to 20 m3 and boom length from 45 to 100 metres and opencast power shovels.

For conveying and prelimenary works in the face “NKMZ” offers spreaders, special mobile loading devices, mother conveyors, stationary and movable crushing plants, steeply inclined conveyors and special inclined hoists.

By acquiring the whole fleet of machines and getting maintenance servicing from one and the same producer, the customer may drastically improve the efficiency and profitability of the mining operations.
